Diversity and Accessibility

enzymstruktur_klein The BiocatCollection offers access to a large variety of enzymes for different purposes. The portfolio comprises oxidoreductases, hydrolases, lyases and polymerases. The collection especially covers a vast amount of biotechnologically relevant hydrolases such as:

  •      lipases
  •      esterases
  •      cellulases
  •      amylases
  •      pullulanases
  •      other sugar modifying enzymes
  •      proteases
  •      nitril hydratases
  •      nitrilases
  •      amidases

In addition, the BiocatCollection offers alcohol dehydrogenases, aldolases, kinases and carbonic anhydrases. Furthermore, the BiocatCollection provides enzymes that are not available on the market elsewhere, e.g. an amylomaltase and a branching enzyme. The currently available enzymes also include so-called extremozymes, which are active in a broad temperature und pH range allowing biocatalysis between 0°C and 120°C and between pH 0 and 10.
